Three questioned after drugs hauls in Dublin and Cork
Three people were being questioned by Gardai today after the seizure of drugs with a street value of almost €1m in Dublin and Cork.
A man in his early 20s was arrested for suspected drugs trafficking when cannabis with a street value of €600,000 was discovered during the search of an apartment and a van in the Mount Oval Estate in Cork.
A woman was being questioned after the seizure of €210,000 worth of cocaine at Cork airport.
The woman, 25, from Venezuela, was stopped by customs officers as she stepped off a flight from Malaga, Spain.
The customs service said some 3kgs of cocaine was discovered in the woman’s personal baggage.
Meanwhile in Dublin a man in his mid 20s was being questioned by gardaí after officers found cannabis valued at €180,000 when they stopped and searched a vehicle on the Kilakee Road , Rathfarnham.
