Hoax pipe bomb forces evacuation of Crumlin homes
Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the discovery of another hoax pipe-bomb in the Crumlin area of the city.
A number of residents had to be evacuated from their homes in the Clogher Road area when the device was found under a car at around 10pm last night.
Army bomb disposal experts were called in and subsequently declared the device an elaborate hoax.
Several hoax pipe-bombs have been found in Dublin since the start of this year, while the city has also seen a major upsurge in the use of viable pipe-bombs as part of gangland feuds.
