Harney defends compensation scheme for psychiatric nurses

Health Minister Mary Harney has defended the compensation scheme being offered by the Government to psychiatric nurses who are attacked at work.

The Psychiatric Nurses Association and SIPTU have both rejected the scheme, describing it as unfair and inadequate.
