Ahern: Peace my proudest achievement

Outgoing Taoiseach Bertie Ahern today claimed his greatest achievement was peace on the island of Ireland and urged the next generation to continue the good work.

In his final address at the annual Fianna Fáil 1916 commemoration at Arbour Hill, Mr Ahern said loyalist communities in the North must be given support to move beyond conflict.
