Two remanded in connection with attack on teenager

Two men have been remanded in custody charged in connection with an attack on a 16-year-old in Dublin.

23-year-old Patrick Murphy and 32-year-old Neil Murphy from separate addresses on Ferrycarrig Road in Coolock appeared before Dublin District Court last night, charged with assault causing harm.

The victim remains in a critical condition at the Mater Hospital.

The teenager was attacked on the Shangan Road in Ballymun at around 10pm on Friday night and sustained serious head injuries.
