Teen remains in critical condition after Ballymun attack

A teenager remains in critical condition this evening after a violent attack in Dublin last night.

The 16 year old is fighting for his life at the intensive care unit of the Mater Hospital.

He was attacked on the Shangan Road in Ballymun at around 10pm last night and sustained serious head injuries.

His condition is described as critical.

Gardaí say two men were arrested shortly afterwards in connection with the incident.

They are being held at Ballymun and Santry garda stations and can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
