Gardaí question man in connection with arms and drugs seizure

Gardaí are questioning a man in his thirties in connection with an arms and drugs seizure in Limerick city.

The man was arrested following a series of planned searches in the Saint Mary's Park, Limerick, on Friday afternoon.

A rifle, a handgun, ammunition and drugs were recovered at the back of premises on Saint Ita's Street.

The man is being detained at Mayorstone Garda Station.
