Charges of dangerous driving against Lithuanian man dropped

Charges against a Lithuanian man on trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court accused of dangerous driving causing the death of an elderly man have been dramatically dropped by the State.

Prosecuting counsel, Mr Michael Bowman BL, received instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions to enter a nolle prosequi following the close of the prosecution case.
