Date set for Belfast murder trial

The Special Criminal Court has set a date for the trial of a man accused of murdering another man in Belfast last year.

Gerard Mackin (25), with an address at Raheen Close, Tallaght, Dublin, is charged with the murder of Edward Burns (36) and the attempted murder of Damien O’Neill at Bog Meadows, Falls Rd, Belfast, Co Antrim, on March 12 last year.
