Child rape trial begins in Waterford

A jury has been sworn in for the trial of a Waterford man charged with raping a child about 15 years ago.

The 55-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to two charges of rape and one of sexually assaulting the then primary school girl on dates unknown from January 11, 1993 and December 31, 1995 in a shed.
