Woman stable after Waterford stabbing

An 18-year-old woman has been arrested following a stabbing in Waterford City.

A 42-year-old woman was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the neck at a house in William Street shortly before 10.30pm last night.

The injured woman was reported to be in a stable condition in Waterford Regional Hospital.

Gardaí are interviewing a number of people who were in the house at the time of the attack.
