45 workers lose jobs following Ballina hotel closure

Forty-five workers have lost their jobs in Co Mayo following the closure of the Ridgepool Hotel in Ballina.

The hotel closed its doors yesterday after weeks of speculation about its future.

Staff have received a statutory redundancy package which will be paid by the end of this month.
