Freezing weather sparks alert for elderly neighbours

Freezing conditions today sparked calls for people to check on their elderly neighbours to make sure they are safe and warm.

Age Action issued an alert as the late winter weather brought snowfall in parts of the country and warnings of sub-zero temperatures overnight.
