Gardaí investigating the death of David Brett in Cork last year have arrested a 23-year-old man.

Gardaí investigating the death of David Brett in Cork last year have arrested a 23-year-old man.

The man was arrested near Banteer in north Cork just after 8am this morning.

He is being held at Bandon Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.

David Brett was found shot dead near the village of Ballydesmond on May 21 last year.
