GAA hurling stars join campaign for university in South East

Waterford Hurling heroes Ken McGrath and Michael "Brick" Walsh of the 2007 National League winning side are backing a renewed push to secure a University for the South East.

While Education Minister Mary Hanafin has other things on her mind at the moment and may be linked as a potential candidate for Leader or Deputy Leader of the Fine Fáil Party, the Waterford hurlers are amongst a community of supporters across the South East region hoping that the Minister will upgrade the status of WIT to a university.
