Ahern: No need for Taoiseach statement on finances

Foreign Affairs Minister Dermot Ahern says he has strongly advised the Taoiseach against making a public statement about his personal finances.

The leaders of the Greens and the PDs have both called on Bertie Ahern to dispel public disquiet about contradictions in his evidence to the Mahon Tribunal.
