The Labour Party is accusing the Government of encouraging more people to become gambling addicts by approving the introduction of 'fixed-odds betting terminals' in bookmakers' outlets.

The party's justice spokesperson, Pat Rabbitte, says such machines are touch-screen games that attract young people into the world of gambling.
