Gardaí investigate after man's car found in canal

Gardaí in Co Laois are today investigating the circumstances of a car accident that has claimed the life of an elderly man near Portlaoise.

The man, who was in his 70s, was found dead inside his submerged car in the Grand Canal in Vickerstown at around midday yesterday.
