Gardaí search for man missing in Wicklow Mts

Gardaí are searching for a missing man in the Wicklow Mountains.

Walter Hammond, 71, from Blessington went missing on Thursday. An alarm was raised when he failed to return from a hill walking trip.

A search by mountain rescue personnel on Friday was unsuccessful.

Mr Hammond is described as being six foot, three inches in height, is well built and was last seen wearing a navy anorak, a navy fleece and was carrying a black and wine rucksack.
