A Nigerian woman and her two children are facing deportation to their homeland today after losing their legal battle to remain in Ireland.

Pamela Izevbekhai argued that her daughters, seven year-old Naomi and five year-old Jemima - will face female genital mutilation if returned to Nigeria.

However, they have been ordered to report to immigration officials in Dublin today before being flown home.

Ms Izevbekhai has already seen one of her daughters die after being subjected to female genital mutilation, a cultural practice in many parts of Africa.
