Woman dead following crash in Galway
A woman in her 20s has died following a car crash near Tuam in Co Galway.
Gardaà were alerted to the scene of the single-vehicle crash on the Tuam to Ballinrobe road just after 8.30am this morning.
It happened on a bad bend at Castlegrove near Kilconly.
The road has been sealed off for a technical examination and diversions are in place.
It comes as the Taoiseach appeals to motorists to drive with extra care over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Bertie Ahern has asked all drivers not to speed or drink and drive.
The latest death brings to 71 the number of people who've lost their lives on Irish roads this year.
