Green minister defends €500,000 St Patrick's Day junkets

Communications Minister Eamon Ryan has defended the annual series of foreign trips undertaken by his cabinet colleagues on St Patrick's Day.

Mr Ryan was answering questions from reporters about the more than €500,000 of taxpayers' money that was spent on such trips last year.
