Met Éireann issues weather warning

Walkers were tonight warned to stay away from cliffs, beaches and other exposed coastal areas as forecasters predict further high seas and gale force winds.

While the country escaped the worst of this week’s Atlantic storm Met Éireann issued another severe weather warning with gusts as high as 150kph to batter the country tonight and tomorrow.
