Gardaí release man held in connection with Kilkenny death

Gardaí in Kilkenny have released a man arrested over the weekend following the death of a 42-year-old woman in the city.

The woman, a mother-of-five from England, who was living in the Callan area, died at St Luke's Hospital on Saturday.

She had been admitted earlier in the day with what gardaí will only describe as "massive internal injuries".

A man was arrested in Cahir, Co Tipperary, on Sunday night, but he has now been released without charge.
