Two dead in separate car accidents in Finglas

Two people have died in separate road accidents in Finglas in Dublin this morning.

A seven-year-old boy lost his life when he was struck by an unmarked Garda car on the main N2.

The accident happened opposite the Clearwater Shopping Centre at around 11am this morning.

His remains have been removed to Temple Street Children's Hospital.

In a earlier incident a man in his 20s died after his car collided with a truck on the Cappagh Road.
