Young boy injured in Finglas road accident

A seven-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a road accident in Finglas in Dublin.

A seven-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a road accident in Finglas in Dublin.

He was struck by an unmarked garda car on the main N2 just opposite the Clearwater Shopping Centre at around 11am this morning.

He was taken to Temple Street Children's Hospital.

Separately, a man remains seriously ill in hospital in Blanchardstown following another crash in Finglas this morning.

He was injured when the car he was driving collided with a truck on the Cappagh Road at about 9.30am this morning.
