A woman in her 20s has died following a single-vehicle road accident in Co Longford this morning.

A woman in her 20s has died following a single-vehicle road accident in Co Longford this morning.

The crash happened at around 8.30am on the Ballinalee to Longford road.

The road remains closed for technical examination and gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to get forward.
