Agency seeks counselling for all minor drug offenders

The Crosscare agency is calling for compulsory counselling to be given to all minor drug offenders.

The agency, which is run by the Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin, says the court system currently takes an inconsistent approach to the issue.

It says some judges currently send minor offenders on treatment and awareness programmes, while others do not.
