Air-traffic crews consider Labour Court proposals

Air-traffic controllers are due to meet today to consider proposals aimed at ending their dispute over staffing levels.

The controllers yesterday agreed to call off a 24-hour strike planned for Thursday at the request of the Labour Court.

They are now seeking a meeting with the Irish Aviation Authority this morning to discuss the court's recommendations.

Controllers at Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports will then meet with union representatives to consider the proposals.
