Two arrested following heroin seizure in Dublin

Two people are in Garda custody following the seizure of heroin worth up to €200,000.

One kilo of the drug was found when a house on Kilcronan Avenue in Clondalkin was searched at around 9pm last night.

The raid was carried out by members of the Clondalkin Drugs' Unit and the Special Defence Unit.

The seizure is worth around 200 thousand euro depending on analysis.

A 38-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.

They are being detained under Section 2 of The Drug Trafficking Act at Clondalkin and Ballyfermot garda stations.
