Man arrested in connection with 2006 Kerry killing

A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Cork in connection with the murder of Eddie Joe Clancy in Kerry in 2006.

The 50-year-old was found with head injuries on a footpath on Bridge Street in Tralee in the early hours of August 15, 2006.

The man who was arrested this morning was due to appear at a special sitting of Killarney District Court this afternoon to face charges in relation to the incident.

A total of four people have been arrested during the garda investigation into Eddie Joe Clancy's death, but so far this will be the first court appearance.
