The Unite trade union has called on the British Government to intervene in the dispute at the British Embassy in Dublin.

The Unite trade union has called on the British Government to intervene in the dispute at the British Embassy in Dublin.

The General Secretary of the union has personally written to British Foreign Secretary David Milliband about the issue.

The union said the dispute over compulsory redundancies at the Embassy has become increasingly bitter.

More than 40 members of the union picketed the Embassy on Thursday.
