Suspected laundered diesel seized in Galway

Customs officers in Galway have seized a cattle truck which was delivering what they suspect to be laundered or washed diesel.

The truck was seized at about half six yesterday evening as it made a delivery to a retail service station in the east of the county.

Customs have said the truck had a concealed compartment capable of carrying around 6,500 litres.

Two men were questioned by customs officers and a car was also seized.
