Man dies in Wexford car crash

A man died today after the car he was travelling in hit a wall.

The accident happened about 8.50am at Libgate in Kilmore Quay, Co Wexford.

The body of the man, in his early 30s, was removed from the crash scene to Wexford General Hospital and a post mortem is expected to take place later in Waterford Regional Hospital.

The 45-year-old driver of the car was treated for his injuries at Wexford Regional Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Gardaí closed the road at the crash site to allow a forensic examination to take place.
