The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has given his strongest indication yet that the Children's Rights referendum will be held on a separate date to that of the Lisbon Treaty.

Mr Ahern also stated that the referendum on the Treaty will be in early Summer, most likely towards the end of May or early June.
