Dublin man jailed for heroin possession
A 22-year-old Dublin man who was caught holding heroin worth almost €200,000 has been jailed for four years.
Mark Donaghy, an apprentice electrician from Greenfort Gardens in Clondalkin, pleaded guilty to possession of the drugs for sale or supply on December 6, 2005.
Gardaí followed the car in which he left the Cookstown industrial estate where he'd been sitting a FAS examination.
No drugs were found in that car but a search of a second car revealed a blue plastic bag containing €195,000 worth of heroin.
Judge Katherine Delahunt handed down a seven year sentence suspending the final three years.
