Smokers urged to quit for Lent
Smokers who want to quit for Lent are being targeted todaye.
Nicorette is urging all smokers to take the Lent Quit Smoking Challenge and see the benefits it can have on their health.
The company said an average smoker has 17 cigarettes per day – adding up to 782 over the 46 days of Lent.
However, it claims despite 7,000 Irish people a year dying from tobacco related diseases, 350,000 of Irish smokers do not want to quit the habit.
