Man injured in shooting incident in Dublin

A man has been shot in Dublin this afternoon.

Gardaí say the shooting happened at around 3.10 this afternoon at the Carlisle Gym near the Kimmage Crossroads.

The man was shot in his car as he tried to escape from his attackers.

The car was crashed and remains at the scene for a techincal examinaiton.

The man was removed to St James' Hospital.

His injuries are not known at this time.
