Cork student collapses at sports day

A teenager who collapsed at an athletics event in the grounds of a Cork school remains in a serious condition in hospital this morning.

The pupil lost consciousness shortly after taking part in the competition and was rushed to Cork University Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
