McAleese holds reception for South Pole expedition team

President McAleese has held a special reception for the Beyond Endurance South Pole Expedition team who became the first Irish team to reach the South Pole.

The president met team members, Pat Falvey, Clare O'Leary, Shaun Menzies and Jonathon Bradshaw at a special reception at Aras an Uachtarain and told them the whole country took a great sense of pride in their achievement.
