Man admits to Charlie Bird assault

A man has admitted at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to assaulting RTE's news correspondent, Charlie Bird, at the Love Ulster Parade in the city almost two years ago.

Graham Hanapy (aged 25) of Fortlawn Park, Blanchardstown, pleaded guilty to assaulting Mr Bird causing him harm on O'Connell Street on February 25, 2006.
