Persistent and severe storm conditions have resulted in ongoing high levels of faults on the eircom across the country.

Gale force winds and heavy rainfall continue to severely impact eircom’s network.

Eircom have committed more than 1,400 staff working on the ground to restore service to customers.

The storm damage is nationwide but continues to particularly impact areas of the north west (Donegal) south west (Kerry and Cork) Connacht (Connemara), Carlow, Kilkenny and Tipperary.

Due to predictions that the current unsettled weather conditions will continue into the middle of next week, it is estimated that it will be at least late next week before normal service levels resume.
