Mother of missing teenager makes plea to British ex-pat community

The mother of missing Dublin girl Amy Fitzpatrick, who was last seen in Spain over a week ago, today called on the British ex-pat community to get behind the search for her daughter.

Audrey Fitzpatrick said most of Amy's friends are either English or Scottish, and she asked people in the area of Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol to cast their minds back to the day she disappeared, and to come forward with and information.

At least 200 Civil Guard officers have been taking part in an intensive search for the 15-year-old, who left her friend's house on New Year's Day and hasn't been seen since.
