Road toll rises hit motorists

Motorway toll charges have risen by between 10c and 20c across the country.

Motorway toll charges have risen by between 10c and 20c across the country.

The cost for a car using Dublin's M50 has risen to €2 , while the Eastlink toll has increased to €1.65.

The M1 in Drogheda now costs €1.80; the M4 toll plaza between Kilcock and Enfield is €2.70 and the M8 Rathcormac/Fermoy Bypass has risen to €1.80.

However, the Dublin Port tunnel charges remain unchanged.
