Landmark hotel destroyed by fire

The destruction of a “landmark” hotel in Roscommon to a massive fire was tonight branded a blow to the county.

Several units of the fire brigade fought the blaze at the family-owned O'Gara Royal Hotel in Roscommon Town which broke out before 8am today.
