Man in hospital after Christmas morning stabbing

Gardaí say a man is in a serious condition in hospital in Co Meath this afternoon after being stabbed in Mornington.

The incident happened at Mornington Park at 11am this morning.

The man, who is in his 40s, was rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

He is said to be in a serious condition.

Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with the stabbing. He is being questioned at Drogheda garda station.
