Ireland 'a beacon of hope', says Ahern

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern says the progress made in Northern Ireland is a major achievement for everyone in Ireland.

In his annual Christmas message, the Taoiseach says Ireland can stand proud this Christmas as a beacon of hope and peace for the world.
