Carlile gets 12 years for heroin possession

A cocaine addict who was caught with the then largest single seizure of heroin in the history of the State has been given a 12-year sentence by Judge Katherine Delahunt at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Stephen Carlile (aged 23) of Aras na Cluaine, Nangor Road, Clondalkin got involved in the operation because his cocaine addiction had run him into massive debt.
