Minister to attend regional planning summit
Minister of State Tony Killeen will today attend a summit in Brussels on regional development.
Mr Killeen will be deputising at the meeting for Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government John Gormley.
Also on the agenda at the Council of Environment Ministers meeting will be spatial planning and general environmental issues.
EU ministers have just returned from the UN Climate Change conference in Bali where agreement was reached on a roadmap for fighting global warming.
