Opposition accuses Govt of U-turn over school water bills

Schools may not have to pay off their outstanding water bills in a proposed Government scheme branded a U-turn by the Opposition.

Last week Opposition parties complained that parents were forced to hold local fundraising events to pay charges which were as high as €8,000 for some schools.
